Where To Go in Monsoon
Bangkok works year-round if you plan around showers. Chiang Mai is green and cheaper, though rain affects day trips. Koh Samui often has better odds than Phuket and Krabi during parts of July and August.

Read moreWhat To Avoid
- ›Do not schedule expensive island tours on your final day.
- ›Avoid remote islands if boat cancellations would break your return flight.
- ›Respect red flags on Phuket and Krabi beaches; currents can be serious.
- ›Do not assume every rainy-season discount is worth the trade-off.
If beach weather matters most, compare Phuket and Krabi before booking.
